6th Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS

The 6th Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS will be held in Phuket, Thailand, 9-11 October 2014, jointly organized by Growing NAVIS, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Thailand National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) (part of the G-NAVIS consosrtium), Satellite Positioning Research and Application Center (SPAC) of Japan and QZS System Services Inc. (QSS) and supported by United Nations International Committee on GNSS (ICG) and International Global Navigation Satellite Systems Service (IGS).The workshop is one of the main activities of Multi-GNSS Asia, an organization whose aim is to promote multi-GNSS utilization and applications in the Asia and Oceania region. Currently Multi-GNSS Asia (MGA) Member has increased to 32 organizations, and 11 collaborative experiments of Multi-GNSS are going on and have been started by JAXA. And 70 stations of “Multi-GNSS Monitoring Network (MGM-net)” to track and monitor Multi-GNSS have started of operation mainly in the Asia-Oceania region.In this Workshop, the status of the MGM-net and the collaborative experiments will be reported and the specific plan of demonstrative experiments after future years will be presented and discussed. The information about the latest developments and needs of Multi-GNSS and the activity of MGA in future will be also shared. And Growing NAVIS partners will present the activities carried on during the lifespan of the project that will end at the beginning of 2015.International organizations, government agencies, companies, universities and research institutes which have an interest in the utilization of multi-constellation GNSS are especially welcomed to participate and to contribute to this workshop.
