Davide Margaria from NavSAS today presented the results of the Galileo Integrated Optimization with VANET Enhancements (GLOVE)project at the International Conference on Connected Vehicles and Expo (ICCVE 2014) in Vienna (Austria), with an overview on the status of satellite navigation systems – GNSS (with an emphasis on Galileo). D. Margaria highlighted not only the problems encountered in urban areas, but also the opportunities provided by the integration with vehicular networks (VANET), with a focus on the concept of Local Integrity which was proposed and developed during the GLOVE project.
The project is leaded by the Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions Area of ISMB. Riccardo Scopigno from MLWS presented a tutorial VANET-GNSS architectures developed within the GLOVE project.
