IBisCo (Ionospheric environment characterization for Biomass Calibration over South East Asia) aims to take advantage of the experience matured within the GINESTRA and ERICA projects to support the ionospheric assessment for the Biomass calibration. Thanks to the ERICA measurement campaign, the uneven observations in South East Asia reported in the existing literature have been integrated with networked data which clearly describe significant anomalies of the local ionosphere. From such experience, the team proposes to use historical ionospheric data acquired in the area to apply MIDAS, an original imaging technique capable to describe the TEC in 3D, plus time. The exercise will advance the current scientific knowledge of the local ionosphere and will attempt to quantify the TEC variation that are expect to impact on the Biomass operations.
